DOMESTIC EXPOSURE, PHOTOGRAPHS BY KATE PHILBRICK, EXHIBITED AT AUCOCISCO GALLERY May 12th 2007, Portland Maine - DOMESTIC EXPOSURE - In conjunction with Kate Philbrick's appearance on the nationally syndicated PBS show, Real Simple, airing May 2007, an exhibition of her color and black & white photographs, will be on view at Aucocisco Gallery from May 12th through May 20th, 2007. Kate Philbrick is known for her provocative images of family and everyday life. The exhibition visually explores the concepts of internal and external change of identity within the immediate family. Kate Philbrick's work has been seen in exhibitions at 3rd Ward Gallery, NYC, Snapper Bear Studios, NYC, and the Portland Museum of Art, Portland, ME. Kate Philbrick, 42, was born in Madawaska, Maine. She currently lives in Gorham, Maine. She is the Director of Photography at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine.
